Math Arcade
Being built · not open yet

Maths that follows your child.

Short, playful maths games for children aged 3 to 8. Your child chooses what to play. Math Arcade quietly notices what they can already do, and offers the next small step.

Number Journey: the train only moves when your child counts.
How it works

Your child leads. We keep up.

There is no fixed path to march along. Each child starts where they are and moves at their own pace.

  1. Your child picks

A few picture cards and a map of everything open to them. What your child chooses always comes first.

  2. Short games

Each game is a small adventure. Help is always there: another go, a hint, or being shown how.

  3. It notices, carefully

Nothing counts as learned after one lucky answer. Your child shows it on their own, more than once, on different days.

  4. You see the progress

A grown-ups' area, kept behind a gate, shows what your child can do and what comes next. You can also open it from your own phone.

What's inside

Number, from the very first count.

The first eight areas build early number step by step, each one opening only when what it needs is in place.

Counting aloud

Forwards and backwards, then in twos, fives and tens.

Counting things

One number for each thing, and knowing how many there are.

Seeing amounts

Knowing small amounts at a glance, without counting.

Numerals

Reading written numbers, matching them to amounts, and zero.

Comparing

More and fewer, the number line, ordering and estimating.

One more, one less

Numbers next door, and first, second and third.

Parts and wholes

Splitting numbers apart and putting them together.

Tens and ones

Teen numbers, tens and ones, and on to a hundred.

Shapes, patterns, measuring, time and more are being designed and will follow.

Our promise

Built for children, and for the grown-ups who look after them.

How your child plays

  • How fast a child answers never decides what they have learned.
  • Help is always fine. Answers given with help count as practice, and the next fresh try can count.
  • Play carries on even if the internet drops for a moment.
  • No adverts, ever.

What we keep

  • A nickname and an avatar, never your child's real name.
  • Birth month and year only, never the full date.
  • No outside tracking or advertising tools.
  • We ask your permission clearly, item by item, and you can change your mind.
  • You can download or delete your child's record at any time.
Where we are

The train hasn't left the station yet.

Math Arcade is being designed and built carefully, game by game, with an educator checking the teaching. It isn't open to families yet. This page will say when it is.

Try the first game: Number Journey

A trial for grown-ups to try out, not yet for use with children. It keeps nothing about you: anything you enter stays on your own device.
